Not all of the water stored in these reservoirs is readily available for our use in Cheyenne.
Approximately 7,500 acre-ft of water is below the pipes that bring water to Cheyenne. The BOPU
calls this the dead pool and it is subtracted out from our readily available resources.
Hog Park is not included as water that is available to deliver to Cheyenne. Hog Park is
part of the Little Snake/ Douglas Creek system and is used as trade water so that Cheyenne
can collect water from Douglas Creek at Rob Roy.
