Bring the Green

It's spring time! Prepare your yard to stay green during the summer and save water by following these tips this spring.

• Core aerate.
• Apply a slow release fertilizer.
• Tune up your sprinkler system. Check each zone
  • Check for broken or misdirected heads.
  • Make sure sprinkler heads spray from one head to the next.
  • Adjust heads to prevent overspray onto sidewalks and streets.
• Check the backflow preventer.
• Replace bluegrass in hard to water areas with native grasses and shrubs.
• Prepare your mower by sharpening the blade and setting the cut height to 3 inches.
