Protecting Cheyenne's Water Infrastructure.

The Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) for the Board of Public Utilities is the local control authority for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The program permits significant and/or categorical industrial users that discharge water to the Board of Public Utilities. The IPP is also responsible for enforcing the local regulations for grease traps/interceptors and for sand interceptors. The IPP works closely with our operations and maintenance crews to investigate suspicious discharges or blockages of sewer mains throughout the system. Our objective is to protect the sewer collection system and water reclamation facility infrastructures, including the waters that the facilities discharge to, as well as protect the personnel that maintain the system and keep all plants running and operational.
