Watering Schedule Waiver
Do you need an alternate approach to maintain your lawn?
Large lawns with many zones is just one reason you may need an alternate approach to the general requirements of the Watering Schedule. Complete an application for a Watering Schedule Waiver, either online or in-person. The Board of Public Utilities will review your information and ensure that the basic requirements are met before issuing a Waiver to you. If a Waiver is granted, it is effective for up to one year and must be displayed in a window that is visible from the street. Waivers are not applicable during water shortage.
Apply for a New Lawn Permit if you temporarily need additional watering days for sowing seed or installing sod.
Note, even with a Waiver:
- each zone can only be watered three times per week,
- no watering between 10 am and 6 pm,
- no watering from December 1st through March 31st (unless you have a New Lawn Permit), and
- customers are not exempt from compliance with requirements of City Code of Ordinances and the Plan for Wise Water Use.
