Construction/Road Closure - Shannon Street / Storey Boulevard

Shannon St. will be closed between Storey Blvd. an Killarney Dr. for a water valve replacement project.

Storey Blvd Parking Lane is also closed between Weaver Rd. and Shannon Ave. for a water valve replacement project.

Closures are expected ~10 days.

The BOPU apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Construction/Road Closure - Pike Street

Beginning October 20, 2025, the BOPU will be closing Pike St. between Elk Ave. and Buffalo Ave., to perform a sewer manhole replacement. The project is expected to take approximately 10 -12 days, weather permitting.

The BOPU apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Construction/Road Closure(s) - Rayor / E 19th / E 20th

Beginning the week of October 6, 2025, the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (BOPU) anticipates construction activities to begin on a water main rehabilitation project, including road closures as follows:
• 20th St. Closure; Logan Ave. to E 21st St.
• 19th St. westbound Closure; Rayor Ave. to Logan Ave.
• Rayor Ave. Closure; Cheyenne Pl. to E 19th St.

Construction on this project, and road closure, is expected to be completed by the beginning of November, depending on weather and material availability.

Construction/Road Closure - Creighton Street

The BOPU anticipates construction activities to begin on a water main rehabilitation project, including road closure of Creighton Street from Evers Blvd. to Bishop Blvd., beginning the week of October 6, 2025.

Construction on this project, and road closure, is expected to be completed by the beginning of November, depending on weather and material availability.

A customer of the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (Board) reported receiving a telephone call where the caller claimed to be from Cheyenne’s water and sewer department. The fraudulent caller claimed the customer was delinquent on their water bill and requested credit card information.

Customer Service Phone Service Resumes

Starting on Monday, October 26, 2020, the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (Board) customer service call-in hours resumes to the normal hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. With the current circumstance of COVID 19, the Board’s lobby at 2416 Snyder Ave. will remain closed until further notice.
