Water Main Leak - Dell Range Blvd.

12/17/2025 - Update on Dell Range & Mountain Rd.

Dell Range Blvd. westbound lane to remain closed; Mountain Rd. to open December 18

Water main repairs have been completed at the intersection of Dell Range Blvd. and Mountain Rd. and the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (BOPU) will open Mountain Rd. tomorrow morning approximately 7:30 a.m. However, the westbound lane on Dell Range Blvd. will remain closed. The turning lane, for eastbound traffic to turn onto Mountain Rd. from Dell Range Blvd. will also remain closed. Closures will remain in place approximately seven (7) days.

Concrete repair work is scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025.

The BOPU apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

12/16/2025 - Water main leak near the intersection of Dell Range & Mountain Rd. interrupting water services to homes & businesses in the area.

Traffic delays anticipated - please find alternative routes if possible. UPDATE: Mountain Rd. closed between Sheridan & Dell Range, as well as, lane closure on Dell Range between Windmill & Mountain Rd. ~ 5 days.

Crews will remain on-site until repairs are complete & water restored. We apologize for any inconvenience!!

Road Closure - E 21st Street

Beginning Wednesday, 12/10/2025, the BOPU will be closing E. 21st. between House Ave. and Evans Ave. to replace a water service line.

This project is expected to take ~10 days to complete, weather dependent.

A customer of the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (Board) reported receiving a telephone call where the caller claimed to be from Cheyenne’s water and sewer department. The fraudulent caller claimed the customer was delinquent on their water bill and requested credit card information.

Customer Service Phone Service Resumes

Starting on Monday, October 26, 2020, the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (Board) customer service call-in hours resumes to the normal hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. With the current circumstance of COVID 19, the Board’s lobby at 2416 Snyder Ave. will remain closed until further notice.
